Our approval feature will help you and your team monitor the content before publishing them. Make sure to get your team ready before you start. Learn more about Team in here.
In RocketLevel, there are 4 statuses:
Not Required
The content doesn’t require approval, therefore, can be published at any time.
Pending
The content is ready for approval
Approved
The content is approved and ready for publish.
Declined
The content is declined and cannot be published. After the required changes are made, the content can be set for approval again.
Expired
The content is not approved after the due date. More details in Bulk Approval.
There are 2 ways you can activate an approval request:
When you create a content, click the Approval icon
When you edit a content, click the Approval icon
Right after the approval request is activated, an email will be sent to you and your team members who have Approve Only permissions. (Learn more about Approve Only permissions in here)
There are 2 ways you can find and view posts that are pending for approval:
Via Social > Content or Calendar, navigate the Filter dropdown field and select Approval Status = Pending. Click Apply.
Via Social > Approvals, navigate to the approval you want to view and click View
Once you can view the details of posts pending for approval, navigate to the left-hand side and click the Approval icon button
Select one of the following options:
Approve: the post will be approved and published at anytime
Decline: the post will be declined and the approver will be prompted to comment on the reason for decline. The post cannot be published.
Not required: the approval will be revoked and the post can be published at anytime
Make sure you approve scheduled posts with ample time for them to publish, or the error will occur and you have to publish it manually.
Our bulk approval feature will allow you to view and approve multiple posts all at once.
Create a bulk approval:
Go to Social > Approvals
Click Create Approval
Select the posts you want to request approval
Set the Due Date by when the approval request expires
Turn on the Approve All Automatically if you want all the contents to be automatically approved after a specified number of days
Click Create Approval to finish
After the approval is created, status of all the selected posts will be marked as Pending Approval
Once the approval is required, an email notification will be sent to the your email and the team member with Approve Only permissions.
If the Due Date is set, reminder emails will be be sent to your email and the team member with Approval Only permissions 2 days before the due date.
Once the bulk approval passes the Due Date and is marked Expired, the approver or any team member with Approve permissions needs to go to approve/decline the content one by one.
View a bulk approval:
Navigate to the approval you want to view and click View
Alternately, if you’d like external users to view the approval without log-in, select Actions > Share Link. A link will be generated for you to share with other users.
The approval will be opened in the new tab for you to view
Edit a bulk approval:
Navigate to the approval you want to view and select Actions > Edit Approval
Make your changes on the Edit Approval modal
Click Save Changes to finish
View the activity log of a bulk approval:
Navigate to the approval you want to view and select Actions > View Activity
You can view all the actions and events related to a specific approval
Delete a bulk approval:
Go to Social > Approvals
Navigate to the approval you want to view and select Actions > Delete Approval
The individual contents assigned to the bulk approval will not be deleted
Click Delete to finish
